About Me

Legal consultant at Halebury in the Media and Entertainment sector. I write about, and specialise in, the most effective and efficient ways to structure and manage an in-house legal team. I recently left FremantleMedia ("FM") after 11 years as the Global Head of Legal & Business Affairs for FM Enterprises (latterly re-named and re-structured as FM International). I have over 20 years experience as a Head of Legal in industry and have managed teams of significant size and with an international element. At FME I managed a team of some 19 legal and business affairs executives based in 4 cities around the World and between us we handled the entire global workload of the business - an annual turnover of around 350m Euros and which entailed dealing in over 140 different territories.

Key areas of responsibility included; TV and home entertainment distribution, licensing, digital media, joint ventures, litigation and dispute resolution, global compliance issues,programme and brand rights acquisitions, live events, gaming , gambling and any and all other extensions and methods of exploitation relevant to brands and TV programmes worldwide.
